Reflection Topic #9

Throughout this course I have had to do some excercises that I did not think I would have to for this major. I was asked to look into all areas of media and not just the side of my public relations major. My favorite writing assignment was the press release. It fit into my style of writing more than anything else. My lease favorite was the advertising. I always have ideas that pop into my head and sound really good in my head, but I always have a problem organizing them and putting them on paper. It never seems as good on paper like it does in my head. The writing challenges I have occured in this class was being more concise and remembering the AP style grammar. I still haver problems remembering the AP grammar rules. I believe I have gotten better with being moer concise, but I know I have a lot more work to do. I have overcome many issues by just listening to my classmates and how they think. They are very creative. Listening to people who think differently than me helps me have a more broad view on how things can be. It helps me step out of my comfort zone, because I know other ways can work besides just mine. I am excited about taking my upper level courses. The major seems like it would fit me and I believe I can be very successful with it. I really enjoyed taking this class.
